GEO

People are asking AI who to hire. Does your business come up?

You do good work. You want people to find you when they need it. That now includes people asking AI for help deciding who to call.

We help make your business easier to find and understand in AI-powered search, so there’s clear, useful information about you when those questions come up.

Questions.Answers.Customers.
Useful information, clearly presented.
01The idea

Another acronym. A fairly simple idea.

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. Quite a mouthful for something most business owners would describe as, “How do I get my business to show up in those AI answers?”

That’s the idea. Working on your online information so AI search tools can find it, understand what you do, and potentially include your business or reference your website in an answer.

You don’t need to remember the acronym. You need to know whether this is somewhere your potential customers are looking, and whether your business is giving them anything useful to find.

02Your customers

Think about what your customers ask you.

Let’s say you run a physical therapy practice.

Someone might search for a physical therapist nearby. They might also ask what to expect at their first appointment, whether they need a referral, or how to find a practice that works with runners.

They’re trying to work out where to go and whether that practice is right for them. A website that says “personalized care from an experienced team” doesn’t answer much of that.

You already have these conversations with patients. We help get those answers onto your website, so people can learn something useful about your practice before they call.

03The work

So what do we actually do?

We start by looking at what someone can learn about your business online. Can they tell what you do? Where you work? Which problems you help with? Is the information accurate, or are they finding services you stopped offering three years ago?

Then we work on the gaps.

01

Explain the work clearly

We improve service pages so they describe the work, who it’s for, and what a customer needs to know before contacting you. Specific information gives people more to go on than another paragraph about being committed to excellence.

02

Answer the questions that affect the decision

What should someone consider before buying? When is one option a better fit than another? What happens when they call you?

We work with you to create useful answers based on how your business actually operates. You bring the experience. We help turn it into content people can find and understand.

03

Make the information accessible

Good information won’t help much if the systems finding and reading your website can’t reach it. We check for technical issues that could get in the way and work on how the important content is organized.

04

Back up what you say

Real examples of your work, relevant experience, and clear explanations give customers something to judge you on. We help you present that information without turning every sentence into a claim that you’re the best.

04SEO

Does this replace SEO?

No. If someone tells you to forget everything else because AI has arrived, we’d have a few questions.

There’s considerable overlap between helping your website perform in search and making its information useful for AI answers. Google’s guidance says the existing SEO fundamentals still apply to its AI search features. There isn’t a special extra requirement that gets you included.

We look at what’s already working and what needs attention. You shouldn’t have to start over just because the industry has another acronym.

05The honest answer

Can you guarantee AI will recommend us?

No, and we’re not going to dress that answer up.

We can improve the information available about your business and address problems that make it harder to find or understand. We don’t control which businesses an AI tool mentions, which sources it uses, or how the answer changes from one question to another.

Being referenced as a source also isn’t the same as being recommended. And neither automatically means a new customer.

Where reporting is available, we can review citations and visits alongside the inquiries you receive. We’ll explain what those numbers show and what they don’t. One screenshot of your name in an answer isn’t enough to tell you the work is paying off.

06The bigger picture

It still needs to lead somewhere.

Our complete digital marketing looks at how someone finds you, what helps them decide to contact you, and what happens afterward. GEO fits into that work.

If someone discovers your business through an AI answer and then visits a confusing website, you still have a problem. If they ask for an estimate and nobody follows up, being found wasn’t the part that let you down.

We want to understand where you’re losing opportunities before recommending more work in one area.
