Values
Love What You Do
Loving what you do means you bring joy and excitement to every day, every client and every task. It can be felt by those around you and creates a positive atmosphere of growth and prosperity.
Additionally, when you love what you do, it’s like it’s built into your DNA to always improve, make things function better, look better or just be better. Why? Because you can, and it’s fun!
To continue loving what you do over time, it’s important to balance your work and personal life. We do not define someone as successful if they are so busy building a business that they forget to build a life. We founded this company for people to be able to balance work and personal life. Work hard, play hard, and love what you do!
Work Smart
The tools you have should be easy to use. And yet, working smart is more than convenient tools. Working smart also means that we strive to not reinvent the wheel. We tap into the knowledge we have gathered working with hundreds of clients and use this knowledge to create strategic marketing plans that are custom to each client. These plans are easy to follow and show remarkable results.
What else does working smart mean?
- Creating and using processes to deliver efficient and effective results
- Keeping things simple
Rather than resting on past achievements, we’re driven to find new ways to simplify and work smarter as we move forward.
We Take Pride in Everything We Do
Whether we are creating a single one-page flyer or designing and implementing a full marketing package, we take pride in the work we provide. Being proud of what we do means that we are creative, we consistently bring our A-game, and we always strive to do it right the first time. It also means that we are not afraid to fail, because if we do not fail on occasion, we are not expanding our boundaries and improving. Therefore, we also take pride in our failures and what we learn from them.
Honesty Breeds Trust
We are who we are. We do not pretend to be someone or something that we are not. And just like that good friend that you know will always tell you the truth, we believe that honesty is the only way we can build your trust in us. You may not always like what we have to say, but we hope you appreciate that we are up front about any situation, product, design or job. If we can’t be honest with you, then how could we expect you to be honest with us? Honesty is the foundation on which trust is built.
We Have Your Back
At RedKnight we uphold a standard for how we will treat others. We understand every individual in every role within our organization is important. Therefore, we treat each other with respect and we have each other’s back. We provide support, motivation, and assistance when needed, both professionally and personally. This does not just apply to our team; it refers to everyone that comes into contact with us. And this is also how we expect to be treated by others.
We Are Not Another Brick In The Wall
We are quirky, fun, unconventional, and sometimes maybe even a little offbeat. One thing’s certain: you won’t forget us, and we’ll make sure your potential clients don’t forget you either. We are professionals that care deeply about what we do and believe that part of being passionate is to make sure we are all having fun.
Can’t Deliver it Consistently, Efficiently, and Affordably? Then We Don’t Provide It
Affordability and quality are important at RedKnight. This is why we have pioneered the use of a fixed price model in our industry. We back it up by honoring the prices we quote—no surprises, no hidden fees.
Profitability is also important. Therefore, we make sure that we are able to deliver our services consistently, efficiently, and affordably: Consistent to enable trust; efficient to minimize costs; and affordable so that we are providing value.
We follow a basic rule: Don’t reinvent the wheel. If a process or checklist exists, use it; if it doesn’t exist, create one. When additional expertise is valuable, we involve the right people to ensure the transaction’s success and learn from their insight.
By following pre-established processes, we have more time and energy to work on what really matters. This is what empowers us to find custom solutions that are convenient and practical and design services that emphasize consistent, quick, and innovative
Achieve Profitability through Smart Growth
Smart growth isn’t just about working smarter; it’s about remaining true to our brand’s core values. Experience has taught us that when we stray from our brand, profitability rarely follows.
Much like our approach to marketing, we don’t chase shiny objects. Instead, we focus on sustainable growth that allows us to seamlessly expand into new product offerings. We begin by testing with a select group of current clients to evaluate fit and scalability. If the product proves successful, we roll it out as a full offering; if not, we pivot and move forward.
Company Belief Systems
Honesty is at the Heart of Good Business
This commitment ensures honesty with both our team and our customer. No lies, half-truths, or evasions. Honesty is at the heart of trust; and trust is required for any meaningful relationship to work.
We always tell potential and current clients the truth, even though sometimes they may not like it. When necessary, we provide brutal honesty. Many times, honesty can be provided in a manner that is polite and diplomatic. It is up to you to be honest with yourself about which approach is more appropriate in each situation.
We also encourage our customers to be honest with us. Honest information on their needs and feedback on their perception of our service and products enable us to grow the relationship and grow as an organization.
And, it should go without saying: never make an undeliverable promise
Nurturing the Individual is the Key to Success
A company is a collection of people who come together for a common purpose. To be successful, each individual must contribute every day. We provide an environment for creativity to prosper. And we value informed, involved employees who are driven and focused.
If we are not growing, we are dying. Sometimes growth occurs dynamically and requires little support. At other times, growth requires nurturing attention. Therefore, we are committed to giving individuals the tools they need to grow, be it the encouragement to try something new, an opportunity to cross-train, or the mandate to improve a process.
Nurturing attention is also expressed externally to our clients and vendors. By being honest and communicating with a goal to educate we create strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
We Are a Community
Our business philosophy is simple: Take care of your clients, partners and local neighborhoods and they will take care of you. Be a role model for how a business should be run and marketed.
We are mindful of both our own and others’ needs. We treat others the way they want to be treated, not necessarily how we want to be treated. We support each other, even when we make mistakes.
We are a community within a community. Be active in your community. Give to people who need it and take care of your fellow man. These are not only words we do business by, these are words we live by.
Do it Right the First Time
It’s cheaper and more efficient to spend more time with the customer up front and accurately identify the right solution on the first try. Doing it right the first time involves listening to the client, asking questions, and being aware of your assumptions. In other words, strive for clear communications. It also involves double checking your work before marking it “Done.”
When we do it right the first time we eliminate errors, chaos, and waste. This results in not only greater efficiency but also happier customers. Doing things right the first time is the key to making everything work.
Business is Built on the Brand
The brand is the basis of a strong business foundation. We consistently focus on the brand.
We value the power of our brand. We strive to be true and apply it consistently over time for this is how we succeed.
We also focus on clearly understanding each client’s brand and using that to create unique marketing solutions that will be effective in growing their business. We do not provide cookie cutter marketing solutions. Instead, we customize the marketing tools we select based on each client’s brand and goals.
It Starts with a Seed
We believe that entrepreneurs are the foundation of ingenuity and growth. Just as each and every seed has unlimited potential so do small business owners when they have access to the right tools. That is why we provide them with the same marketing tools that larger companies have access to.
One important tool we use when creating marketing strategies is to base them on historical data. When we don’t have sufficient historical data to accurately evaluate future profitability, we test on a small scale.
Seeing the World in a Grain of Sand: Attention to Detail Makes or Breaks the Work
Details matter – it’s that simple. A clear understanding of details empowers you to provide simple, confident, and friendly customer communication and service. Concern about details makes quality come alive and enables you to improve processes.
To see the world in a grain of sand is about the desire and ability to see all the details while simultaneously keeping the big picture in mind. How do the details support the larger vision? This perspective generates creative solutions.
The paradox of details and big picture drives expansion. It guides us to realize there is always another area to explore.
It also means that you do not operate alone and are not expected to see and understand every detail. As a group we are stronger and more successful because we collaborate and utilize skill sets across the company. When challenges arise that are outside your area of expertise, ask for assistance from someone who understands the details in that area.
Hire People, Not Resumes
As individuals, we’re defined by who we are, not just by what we can do. Therefore, when we hire new people, we are more concerned with who they are as a person than we are with their accomplishments. Skills can be taught, but attitudes and values are very hard to change.
